Apparently these accidents are not too rare. I did a quick search and 
found the following news items:

Truck driver charged with felony DUI in hayride accident (SC)

The driver of an 18-wheel truck that crashed into a farm tractor on a 
hayride, killing four, was charged Monday with felony driving under the 
influence.

Jake Davis Jr., 51, of Florence is charged with one count of felony DUI, 
S.C. Highway Patrol Senior Trooper Sonny Collins said......"
