Neither sleet nor hail nor snow.... 

The most important reason for the generator is to keep the pellet stove fan
and feeder going for heat.  I can find my wife in the dark!

Now THIS is the Dean I know.....
.....his home is a barren frozen tundra. No heat, no electricity....
generator steaming at full power just to keep the freezer and fridge
operational.

And yet..... he has time for us on the ATIS list.

Lost all power here about 15 minutes ago. Now running on generator power.
Have cold and gusty winds but nothing really extraordinary. The County crew
and power company spent all summer on the roads around here clearing trees
and brush from around the power lines. Lot of good that did.

But they probably knew they were going to get laid off. There is a shovel
now that stands up by itself!
