[AJD] Unusual 430 "W"?? on ebay

In looking at the serial plate on my 430U. The U is stamped into the plate
much deeper than the 430 and the serial number.  The one on ebay looks like
it's been scratch on the surface with something sharp.  I can't prove mine
is original, but is look like it has not been altered.

Unless I'm missing all of my brain cells, it looks like a normal serial
number plate for a 430W of that era to me.
