Here is my recipe for apple butter.

1. 2  cups apple sauce or just cooked apples.
2. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
3. 1/4  tsp ground cloves
4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
5. 1/4 tsp  allspice    
6. 1 cup brown sugar  ( for sugar free use  Splenda)
Then cook it to death while stirring or use your  handing bread machine the  
on jelly cycle.
