Dean: Sounds like the cable release that you pull inside the cab isn't 
unlatching. Have someone pull and hold it while you bump the front edge of 
the hood with your hand and see if that doesn't make it pop up. If you don't 
have a helper when you try it, pull the release handle and lightly clamp a 
visegrip on the cable to hold it in the open position.
