Rick, One thing to think about. Your antique gauge does not necessisarily
have to be accurate. If you have a hand pump or some way to produce
pressure, T off the pressure side and mount your gauge against a known
gauge. Pump the known gauge up to your working pressure (80psi?) and
reposition the pointer on your antique gauge to the same pressure. That will
be the pressure you are most concerned with. Keeping a tested gauge on your
boiler, you can use the antique gauge for visual effect. You are lucky that
the old gauge is 200 psi which gives you the mid range right about your
operating pressure.
