Thanks for all the effort. That info jibes with the removable band covering
the brushes which seems to be unique to two brush generators.

         I have a few old Delco parts catalogs.  I don't really know how to 
use them efficiently, however, I spent some time going through them 
searching for your number.  I only found it once.  1950 Chevrolet passenger 
auto.  No other year.  No other model.  No other manufacturer.  The new 
replacement number at the time was ll02785 which replaces almost all those 
six volt generators in the Chevrolet line including trucks.  I do not find 
that number used anywhere in John Deere tractors or power units or self 
propelled implements.  They are all 110lxxx.
         It is a two-brush 6 volt generator.  Best I could come up with.
