Hi George,
Thanks for your post and I agree with you about needing the feed water heater for the pump. I sure it wont suprise you that the injector only method you are using doesn't suit me much. I like options. I guess that is just who I am.

Eric

From the two catalogs that I have managed to purchase from e-bay, it appears that this is the original manufacturing configuration. I have a second, smaller injector I could put on, but because the engine is small, there is not much room to it in. As such, I have to be extra careful. My procedure is to fire the engine slowly til it reaches ~30-40 psi. At that point, the injector general will pick up. If it fails to function, I slow the fire and have time to work on the check valve or other areas. If I can't get it functional, then it's time to cool the engine and take things apart. As to running, I am extra cautious with the water level because it don't have a backup water supply. It is very important to blow down the water glass and verify the try cocks work. I am always ready to cool my injector by either running water down the pickup hose (from a wate

What if one injector over heats and wont draw water anymore? It happens. It is plumbed up right next to a now very hot second injector. If that were my ONLY two ways of getting water in the boiler I would be sweating it a little.
