Dave  being a farmer and knowing that its number 8 on the list of most 
dangerous Jobs,  that's way above Police and Firemen,  I don't think the tractor 
driver was  at fault here we drive our big equipment on all kinds of roads around 
at times  in the summer it may be late at night or early in the morning to 
get to another  field.  We use light flashers and SMVs to let people know we are 
there we  even have adds on the local Tv stations to tell people to watch out 
for  us.  
If you live in farm country you have to watch for tractors horses  cows and 
what ever.  I would hate to hit my big bull (5'4" and 3000 lbs) on  a dark 
night just because he wandered on to the road. You can't keep an animal  like this 
in with fences just try to keep him happy on his side of the fence. Oh  he is 
solid black.
