[AT] OT, MTD log splitter hydraulic cylinder repair?

I have a MTD 31 ton log splitter that is leaking around the piston end 
plate where it attaches to the cylinder (the seal around the piston 
shaft is fine).

Are these cylinders repairable?  I have looked at the mtd site, all 
they show is a replacement cylinder, but no parts for repairing it.

If they are not repairable, any suggestions for a replacement cylinder?

Tractor reference, I pull this around with a Ford 8N... :o).
