Richard,
I would be interested to learn more about the auction that you attended. I
would like to start my search for a steam powered engine.
Please reply to this message so we can communicate off the general mailing
list

Subject: [Steam-engine] Steamroller
Howdy all;
Need help in Id'ing a steam roller. The tags on the front of the boiler
have been removed. I'll try to describe it best I can.
Has canopy with a lot of kewl iron braces.
Steering chain hits the front roller about axle height
Two cylinder
Steering wheel on far left
Sight glass and trycocks under the dashboard(?)
Rear wheels locking pins resemble a trailer ball at the tip
Appreciate the ID and pictures/hyperlinks would also be appreciated!
TIA
RickinMt.
PS: Results from a recent auction here
36hp Case portable $6,500
Steam Donkey complete(?) $1,500
Various coke bottle verticals..~$1,000
each
And the buy of the day IMO..a complete steam driven sawmill $1,500
