[AJD] JD Lindeman crawler

Brad:

Yep, John is correct. It looks like block casting number B1305R was used on
the late BO's & BR's and also the very early styled B's. If it's an early BO
or BR that's not true as they used block casting number B354R

I thought I was going to be of real and immediate help here as I recently
acquired a B block but unfortunately it is block casting number B1783R and
JD switched to that block following the B1305R. The block looks pretty good
too. No noticeable cracks and the cylinder walls look good enough that a
honing might be all that is necessary. Haven't had it Magnafluxed or
measured yet. Close but no cigar. Oh well, I suspect they are fairly easy to
find.

I will be bringing home 1939 B & 1940 B parts tractors soon if you need help
on the correct replacement block. They should have the right blocks on them
but I really don't know yet what shape they are in either. I think I have a
spare cylinder head around here right now for the early styled B's as well.

Should be fairly easy to find replacement parts I would think. Holler if I
can be of further assistance.

4400 lbs. and some of the the styled row crop B's use
the same block, so it should not be impossible to find
one.
