[AT] Wright saw (OT)

Interesting, George. Any idea as to how old your saw might be? In other
words, I am wondering, just out of curiosity, if Poulan bought out Wright at
some time but continued the use of the name.

Of course, today, so many older brand names mean absolutely NOTHING. This
is another aspect of our American Experience which I do not enjoy. Any big
company (in this case of mind, MTD) can simply buy out an existing,
long-established company (such as Troy-Built) and actually USE nothing
except the name. "There outta be a law..."

Gene,

One of my chain saws is badged as a Wright, but it is actually made by
Poulan and painted orange instead of pea green.
