[AJD] John Deere 70 restoration pictures

Indeed, a nice looking tractor, congratulations on the accomplishment and
thanks for showing us the progress and the results. When I looked at the
website just now, the pre-restoration button links to the restoration
pictures, FYI.

As with others on the list, this was the exact big tractor that I grew up
on. Was pretty small when Dad brought it home, and it's still in the
family; when Dad died one of his grandsons wanted it so I was glad to see it
go that direction, although I did store it at my place for a season and
thought maybe it would be part of my collection. I suppose it still might
come back some day.

Our powr-trol lever was on the right as in these pictures, it had not
occurred to me that it could be switched but I can see from Dennis' pictures
that it would go right over to the other side. Makes sense to move it, with
both throttle and clutch already on the right side to deal with. Yes, I
took out a few winter coat zippers on that darn lever, too. Mom was not
very happy about that.
