[Steam-engine] Bushing with fusible plug

My boiler is tapped for a 1" fusible plug.  I have
noticed that 3/4" plugs seem to be the most common. 
If I run into an availability issue on 1" plugs is
there any reason I shouldn't use a reducing busing and
a 3/4" plug?
