Charlie with a little TLC, spit and polish you should have a nice tractor.

The loader looks to be a well built heavy duty unit.

After seeking comments from the list and getting a couple, I decided to go
for this set up engine tractor. The PO said it was British made, so I
assumed 414, 424, etc, but could find no pictures to match. Took my 560
over to raise this loader and drag it hone on Saturday. Well, that sorta
half worked. Got the loader raised, but found out the steering is
hydraulically operated, and without pressure, the steering wheel only
freewheels. The width is too great for my trailer, so I am working on
someone with an equipment trailer to move it home for me. In the meantime,
I decided I must find the tag and see what I really have.

Well, well. IH I 544, made in USA. 45 H.P. instead of 31.5. I make it to
be a 1970. Am I happy? Set up or not, YES.

A few pictures at the above url for those interested.
