[AJD] 3pt 2bot plow

Steve:

I suspect it is a 2 bottom JD F45 plow. Sometimes called a 45. I have sent
you a picture of a F45 two bottom plow so you can compare. I have a
Operators manual and a Parts Catalog for the F45 plow so if this looks like
it we can then start doing some casting number comparisons.

One area I have found that is helpful in identifying these three point plows
is the two braces that extend from the Mast to the plow frame. They usually
have a flat spot on the cast rod, near the ends of the rods, where there has
been a number stamped in. These rods tend to be different from plow to plow.

Any other casting numbers would also be of help. The beams are also stamped
with a number but these numbers are usually very hard to find.

Get back with some casting and rod brace numbers and we should be able to
positively identify it. We will need to know if it has trip bottoms or
standard and whether it has three or four attaching bolts to identify the
general era of manufacturer. These were made starting in 1965 into the
70's.
