[AJD] Deere question

Howdy Dennis,
 
In reference to your shifter quadrant dilemma, I went and checked a couple  
of tractors.  A 70 Gas and two (2) 70 LP's.  The two 70 LP's both had  the hole 
drilled, looked just like the one on eBay.  The 70 gas (about the  200th 
built) has the hole but no designation for Gas, Fuel or Off, just a blank  area 
where the raised letters should be.  Also went and looked at some of  the 
salvage tractors (those that were close - it's cold today) and they all had  the 
hole drilled.
 
So, still no definite answers, just more questions!
