Dave,
 The 185 is yellow and has an offset in the grill frame kind of a lazy S. It
slopes back
from the top and about 6 inches down, slopes back out for about 1 foot, then
slopes back
in for the rest of the grill. The insert is just a ribbed screen  painted
black
The red 184 has a flat grill (straight from top to bottom) with an eggcrate
plastic mesh grill
insert that is silver from the factory and has the same or similiar ribbed
mesh screen behind
it. From the parts book, the body panels are not identicle, yet only slight
differences and
the part numbers are not the same.  (154 and 185 are almost always the same)

Also check the serial number that may tell the whole story
