[AT] Sort of ON Topic: Bridgeport Mills

Since the "Bridgeport" topic came up --  Does anyone know if an old 
Bridgeport is price competitive with a harbor Freight geared head mill-drill 
from the price / performance standpoint?  I am kinda eying the HF version, 
but before I pull the trigger on a Chinese mill-drill, should I seriously 
look for an old Bridgeport?  Some that I have seen are so worn out that I am 
just uncomfortable to buy one at the $1000 level --- or are they available 
at lower prices if I keep shopping?
