DAVIESW739 [8:03 P.M.]:  I had  a big problem on the LA 
HaliganBar [8:03 P.M.]:  What  happened??
DAVIESW739 [8:03 P.M.]:  I went to move it out of the barn  and it popped 
once and then nothing 
DAVIESW739 [8:03 P.M.]:  the next  day I rebuilt the carb again 
DAVIESW739 [8:04 P.M.]:  now it started  but was blowing flames out of the 
exhaust 
DAVIESW739 [8:04 P.M.]:   bummer 
DAVIESW739 [8:04 P.M.]:  Oh well back to drawing board  
HaliganBar [8:05 P.M.]:  Have you spark on all cylinders?
DAVIESW739  [8:05 P.M.]:  I took the mag off looked at it sparked so i 
retimed it on  the A on the flywheel 
DAVIESW739 [8:05 P.M.]:  yup 
DAVIESW739 [8:06  P.M.]:  now it running but hot as hell and flames out the 
exhaust and the  it tuened red hot but boy did it run 
DAVIESW739 [8:06 P.M.]:  well back  to drawing board 
DAVIESW739 [8:06 P.M.]:  i took the mag off took all  apart 
HaliganBar [8:06 P.M.]:  Stuck valve? Just runnin' too  rich??
DAVIESW739 [8:07 P.M.]:  cleaned an cleaned and greased it and it  looked 
pretty good but no spark 
HaliganBar [8:07 P.M.]:  On the  LA?
DAVIESW739 [8:07 P.M.]:  then i figured that out i put a wire in the  wrong 
place shorted it out BUMMER again 
DAVIESW739 [8:07 P.M.]:  YUP  
DAVIESW739 [8:08 P.M.]:  well today i took it apart figured out what I  did 
replace the old wire but it was the wrong type an broke still no spark  
DAVIESW739 [8:09 P.M.]:  looked for the correct wire found it on my old  navy 
multimeter 
DAVIESW739 [8:09 P.M.]:  cut off 2 in. and put it back  to gether 
DAVIESW739 [8:09 P.M.]:  hey spark again 
HaliganBar [8:10  P.M.]:  Yeah!
DAVIESW739 [8:10 P.M.]:  now I had to retime the  tractor 
DAVIESW739 [8:10 P.M.]:  looked for the a in the cicle found an  E in circle 
what is this i saw the a last time 
DAVIESW739 [8:11 P.M.]:   well lets try the E Walla it runs like a clock 
DAVIESW739 [8:11 P.M.]:   hey the book is wrong not my fault 
DAVIESW739 [8:12 P.M.]:  I have an  older tractor than the manual and it 
doesn't mention the E in the circle on the  flywheel 
DAVIESW739 [8:12 P.M.]:  also i have an american bosche not a  case mag  
DAVIESW739 [8:12 P.M.]:  well live an learn as I say  
DAVIESW739 [8:12 P.M.]:  long story HUH 
DAVIESW739 [8:13  P.M.]:  could used you to help cuss it for me 
HaliganBar [8:13  P.M.]:  LOL..all you had to do is ask!
DAVIESW739 [8:13 P.M.]:   thanks i will do that next time 
HaliganBar [8:14 P.M.]:  So, the bottom  line is that it's now running better 
than ever??
DAVIESW739 [8:14  P.M.]:  I also will remember the E not the a on the 
flywheel 
DAVIESW739  [8:14 P.M.]:  also this mag can be run CC or C  
DAVIESW739 [8:14  P.M.]:  just besure to set all the parts for A or C 
DAVIESW739 [8:15  P.M.]:  book didn't mention that iether 
HaliganBar [8:15 P.M.]:   Sounds like you need to reright the book for them!
DAVIESW739 [8:16  P.M.]:  or get the one for my tractor 
HaliganBar [8:16 P.M.]:   Well..yeah..that might help too!!

yesterdays tractors
