Thanks for the info on the 3000. If I remember it is a non-sleeved 
engine and I'll need to bore and replace pistons, correct? I think I'll 
get in touch with Alexander and see if they have rebuilt heads/blocks 
and get an idea of cost from that.
Another question: is the "extra" shift lever a forward/reverse. The 
diesel tractor has it and I was looking at several running 3000 tractors 
in the auction last week and most did not have the second shifting stick.
