My brother who worked for years in a Ford Dealership garage always put some 
ATF into the Parts cleaner right after the solvent was changed for the same 
reason.

Just a question.  I knew somebody who use to mix part of can of  automatic
transmission fluid into new parts cleaner solvent.  He  claimed it was not 
as
harsh to the skin that way.  I know it also has a lot  of detergency.  Has
anybody ever heard of this or any experience with  it?
