When I tore down my Dad's super C a couple of years ago it was sludged
badly, pan, valves, oil pump etc. In the mid 70s the tractor was rebuilt by
an IH dealer and M&H pistons and liners installed. After that we only used
detergent oils. He sold it in 88 and I got it back in 2001 so I don't know
what was used or what maintainance occurred during that time but it didn't
prevent the sludge from forming!
