I've only used one Simpson, but have used lots of Tripletts. I still
have and use one regularly for troubleshooting continuity problems.
I just prefer the analog meter to the digital one for this purpose.
The only problem with both the Simpson and Triplett is the Bakelite
case. Don't drop one on a hard surface! We repaired them regularly
at work due to contact with the tile floor!

Hey.. for an analog VOM.. it's hard to beat those old simpsons. I used one
in school, and also repaired a few that the other students
regularly(ab)used.
Nice acurate unit.. and had a very styleish leather case too! ;-)
