Just out of curiosity, how often do you drain the pressure tank on the
compressor?

It isn't over-kill if you do a lot of painting and/or sandblasting. I
have
a 4 hp compressor (30 gallon tank) that I use for everyday things; and
then
I have a 7.5 hp compressor (80 gallon tank) that I use with the other
compressor when I sandblast. The metal pipe helps cool and the air and
condense the moisture. I have 5 drops in my line. When I finish
sandblasting, especially in this weather, I probably drain about 1/2 to
3/4
gallon of water from the first two drops. I use the furthest connector
from
the compressor when I paint and sandblast. The air is pretty dry by the
time it gets there. I have never drained water from the filter at that
point.

Just my thoughts.

Lou

That looks like a bunch of over-kill. I can't believe they put all that
together with just one union. I think somebody has a thing about
petcocks.
Of all that plumbing, probably the most important piece is the flexible
hose
right next to the compressor. Farmer's solution even covers that
requirement.
