Thanks for your input. I have a ferguson shop manual now. my tractor is a
1950 made in detroit

TO20 and TO30 built in Detroit, Mich.

1948 1 - 1807

1949 1808 - 14659

1950 14660 - 39162

1951 39163 -72679

1952 79680 - 108644

1953 108645 - 125928

1954 125929 - 140000

TO30 production started at serial number 60001 in August 1951

1951 60001 - 72679

1952 72680 - 108644

1953 108645 - 125958 Jubilee

1954 125959 - 140000

These are the Ferguson serial numbers.

My tractor serial number is on the rivited plate on the dash is 14843 (1950
when they made 14660 - 39162). The one on the side is the engine number. My
engine number is 115452. This shows me to be 1950, I believe .

I was inquiring about the upper arm plunger yoke. If you get it to move by
adjusting the one handle on the quantrant. I"m having trouble with my
automatic draft control. This is what the factory recommends:

Every six months, the control spring adjusting yoke should be removed and the
threaded portion of the plunger lubricated to prevent the yoke and plunger to
freeze together. Failure to do this may result in damage to the forks as
excessive force will be necessary to free the yoke for adjustment. Also there is
a possibility on TE and TO-20 tractors of the vertical fork coming unhooked
from the control valve cross member.

With a two-bottom plow in the raised position, check to see whether you can
just turn the spring with your thumb and forefinger. Adjustment is obtained by
screwing the yoke in or out of the spring. An ideal setting results when the
spring is free to turn, yet has no end play and will not bind. I'm wanting to
know how far the plunger will come out of the cylinder. thanks please get
