[AJD] Heidrich auction

It is not the end of the museum by any means. What
was in the museum was maybe about 20% or less of the
tractors in Fred Sr's collection. Plus there was a
large boneyard of implements and other parts. On his
death a few years ago, some of the tractors were owned
by the non-profit museum entity and some went to his
various children. It is my understanding that none of
the tractors actually in the museum are being sold.
What is being sold is some of the excess items owned
by the museum plus items inherited by Fred Jr.
Nonetheless, it will be a large auction with buyers
from around the world. They expect many of the
crawlers to end up in Australia or Great Britain, with
real tiume internet bidding going on in addition to
the actual live auction.. It will be fun to attend as
I am only about 6 miles away, but I agree with Karl
that some prices may be ludicrous. I would love to
have the Samson Sieve Grip tractor, but am not
optimistic. On the other hand, there are rows and rows
of implements ranging from complete to just pieces
(supposed to be 200 plows alone!) that they expect
might not bring much more than scrap value. It will be
interesting!
