This year I borrowed a friend's potato digger and we got them all dug and
picked up. Took us close to three days for five of us. Three of us were
over 70 years old, son David the Oklahoma City firefighter and Grandson Jon.
We were sure tired at the end of each day. We picked up a little over 6
000 pounds and my wife Billie and Granddaughter Andrea washed and boxed them
and put them in the walk-in cooler. Yesterday we fertilized and reworked the
area and planted it to fall sweet corn.

Wound up using three different tractors for yesterdays chores, the John
Deere 3020 with the bedder, the Ford 2600 with the rototiller, and planter.
and the Wheelhorse for spraying the corn, that we will be harvesting soon,
trying to combat earworms. Guess you guys farther north are blessed not
having to battle these little devils.

Has anyone heard where Portland is gonna be held this year? 8<)
