[AJD] What are failed Master Brake Cylinder Symptoms?

Well, Dean,
If the fluid is leaking in the booster, and as much as you have pumped, I
would think if you pulled the vacuum hose off, you would see signs of brake
fluid in the hose. Even though the wheel cylinders aren't that old, they may
still have pitted from just setting. If the master cylinder went dry, there
is a good chance of moisture getting into the wheel cylinders, causing them
to rust and pit. One of the pitfalls of a vehicle not being used very often.
May have to bite the bullet and pull the drums and take a look-see. Less
likely, but possible is that there is still air somewhere in the system. Had
a old Chevy that I couldn't get good pedal after the master cylinder went
dry. I bled and bled the brakes to no avail. Went back to it the next day
and tried again only to find a large amount of air in one of the lines.
After that was bled out, no problems. Good luck.

Duane
