[AT] Machinery use

Recently someone on the list (and I forget who it was) was looking for a 
dog or whatever to lift a Lister.  (I believe that was it.)  Although I 
love looking at old machinery at shows, it really warms my heart to hear of 
somebody that is fixing his up to actually use the old equipment and I 
appreciate hearing about these things.  On a related note, a few days ago I 
mentioned having bought a PTO-driven 1-row potato digger.  Just today I was 
looking through a JD pocket ledger from 1938  (the type of book that used 
to be given out free at JD Days).  I was surprised to see that their potato 
diggers were available as ground-drive or as an engine-driven unit, which I 
have never seen.  I would be curious to see if anyone knows what type of 
engine was used on these diggers.
