[AJD] Guys, clever new Ebay scam to watch out for

If anyone receives an email saying their bid on item # (whatever) has been cancelled and a link
is offered to click to see the reason why the bid was cancelled, DON"T CLICK IT! If you do you
are taken to what is purported to be a genuine Ebay screen and you are required to log in.
Again, DON"T DO IT!
I nearly did but was suspicious so went to Ebay directly and checked out the item # that I had
supposedly bid on. Guess what, I hadn't even bid on the item
So this is a new twist on "phishing" or efforts to get your Ebay log in information. Once they
have that then the problems start.
As a rule of thumb, I usually never click on a link in an email that goes to anything remotely
security sensitive. Go to the source, the real site and find what they're talking about.

Hope this saves someone some trouble
