Troy: Oil filter, canister type, bottom of the crankcase. Never had
any trouble with the old B, or with the 720 Diesel, but this one just
won't come off. Thanks.

Subject: [AJD] 48 A Oil Filter Bowl Removal
Hi Dave,
Are you talking about the oil filter (not sure if a 48 A would have
that) or
the oil bath?
If it is anything like the oil bath bowl on my '53 70, sometimes you
have to
really yank on it, and work it side to side till it comes off. Start by
pulling one side down, and then when it gets past the groove, pull down
the
other side and repeat till it comes off. Near the end, don't yank too
hard,
or you might spill oil all over yourself.
Hope this is what you were asking about, and hope it works, Troy
