Dave,
Check your air filter. I do not know what part of the country you are
in, but an airstack full of ice and snow could create enough blockage to
result in pulling some oil up out of the aircleaner. If you are in warm
weather, I have had enough rain go down the airstack to force oil into
the intake system and carb. Just a guess. Easy to check.

Anyway I started it up and she was idleing just fine, then it started to smaoke and a gob of oil shot out the top of the exhaust, she kept on smoking so I shut her down. I did not have time to look into it till the next day. Next day I took the exhaust pipe off the manafold, and some oil ran out the pipe. I tried to start her up and she would not even fire. So I opened the petcock on the bottom of the carb, and oil ran out! I let it run till it was all out and gas was coming out clean. Then she started right up just like always. By the was it has been cold here and it was the day I stared her. No more oil is coming out and all is just fine. Onbly thing I can figure is that it was cold enough that the rings and piston were contracted just enough to allow oil to pass by and out. Anyone have any ideas?
