    The tile ditches are indeed running full. Seem to be doing
their job. My road to the east of me is closed due to high
water.
Have to make a 4 mile detour to get to my neighbor 2 miles
down the road. Lots of low laying ground here as I am only 1
mile from the little Miami River, so the runoff has to come past
here and the county ditches are well beyond capacity.
    George is right about Larry being closest to the high
point at Campbell Hill. I am probably the lowest elevation
of the three of us. Fortunately for me, my farm is located
 on a bit of a plateau so the water runs off of me on all
sides.
    My area here was at one time known as the Lewistown
Swamp. There are many low lying potholes that collect water
and are so low that they have no real drain outlet. Mainly the
water either perks into the ground or lays there till it
evaporates.
    The county road west of Bellefontaine where the Sheriff's
office is located is closed by a quarter mile standing water.
The drive is open but they can only go out one way on the road.
    I used to live close to I-70 in Buckeye Lake and know very
well the flooding tendency of this stretch of highway. It was
closed between Routes 13 and Route 37 yesterday and I
suppose it is still closed tonight.
    I believe Ohio will have adequate subsoil moisture for
the planting season.
