Custom rings are reasonable, everything else will have to be found by
comparing dimensions of valves and gaskets from other compressors or
other
uses.   I feel certain that if he applied enough time and determination
he
could come up with the parts.  If he needs his compressor fairly soon
though, he may have to upgrade to the next auction special.

One other thought:  Buying a new compressor pump (and re-using the motor
and tank) is actually pretty reasonable - a few hundred bucks; more if
he
is replacing a two stage unit.   Shipping is free at most places and no
taxes.  My time is valuable and killing a day at an auction where I may
get
an item that only has 100 hours left in it, or may not get the item at
all,
would make a brand new $200 compressor pump inviting.
