Well I think we have kind of an ultimate solution for an outhouse. It's built in in the barn, it's a two holer and beneath is a hatch out the concrete we have manure on (http://public.fotki.com/Duplobarbaren/home/lagrdsgavel.html this is a link to a picture of the barn with our "dassdörr"). It probably violates a bunch of swedish laws and EEC regulations but it has served us well those last days since that hurricane struck us saturdaynight, no electricity, phones or cellphones (I'm writing this from work).
We don't usuallöy have any winds above storm but this one blew southern Sweden away ;-). Facts: seven casualties, Railroads not working for a week?, some people will not have electricity for three weeks (us?) , phones even longer, not all roads open yet, four years of harvested lumber already lying in the woods and a new storm on it's way tonight. It only contained wind and lightning no snow or rain.
Ah breakfast my colleague says, got to go.

/Mattias

When I was building a VA Hospital in Martinsburg WVA, I rented a house to
live in that was on an old plantation listed in the National Historical
Society. They had original old stone outhouses built out of clay mixed with
horsehair for chinking. The owners had one holers, all the others had 3
holers.....
