You did the right thing, Chris, by having the weight off the ground when 
fully lowering the lift - that way there is no strain on the hydraulic 
system when operating. And using a tub instead of a steel drum is a big 
plus, since the steel drum would rot away from the chemicals in the 
concrete. I have a spare plastic 55 gallon drum around and a bent 
drawbar, so the only thing I need is something for the top link to grab 
on to, and I will ready to build a counterweight for the Case 430CK. Oh, 
and I guess I need for the temperature outdoors to get a little warmer - 
  it is 20 F this morning, with snow on the way.
