[AJD] Belt Dressing

When I helped on my grandparents farm, I remember the mill was staked down
with long heavy irons and the mill didn't move. The irons were at least 1"
dia and a few feet long driven solidly into the earth. Then the belt was run
tight so there was no slippage. There was a twist but that was just to get
the mill turning the right way. If you could stake down your mill and run a
tight belt you'd probably be fine. I remember I had to be somewhat careful
with feeding the mill as it was a decent size and would really make the
tractor work really hard and get into the governor with no slippage.

Hope this helps,

Jason
