A bit of over computation shouldn't hurt when computing safetyvalve ratings.
I suggest:
1. Fire box - crownsheet and all four sides down to the firegrate level.
2. Flue area.
3. Front flue sheet.
In other words, any structure that comes between the combustion gasses and
the water.
