[Farmall] Tire Chains Slipping!

I've never had a problem with the chains falling between the lugs once I
get the chains tight. They do fall between the lugs when I first drape them
over the tire, but I lift and pull, and pull and lift on them to make sure
they cross over a lug. I usually tighten them up with just a little slack
so that I can get them situated over the lugs before I tighten them up for
good. Once I get them tightened they stay there. Are you sure you have the
right size chains for you tires? How far apart are the cross chains? Maybe
you don't have the right spacing between them.

How do I keep the tire chains on my tractor from slipping into the tread?
I have them relatively tight on the tires, but they end up going between
the tread bar's and than don't have the desired effect! It's like driving
without the chains on.
