[AJD] Another 530 Transmission question

Today I was working at putting the PTO drive back in the transmission.   All seemed to go back together without any problems until I put the bearing onto the shaft and slid it into the opening in the case.  The bearing seemed rather loose in the case.  I then put the spacers on and the outer retainer and tightened them up.  I turned the PTO drive and noticed that the bearing was spinning in the case.  Should this bearing spin?  If not could I use a punch to dimple the case around the circumference of the opening and then reinstall the bearing?
