Mount it solidly near what you want to measure, place the end of the
indicator on the endo of the shaft, zero it and then move the shaft or item
to see how much motion there is. Readings will be in .001"

Subject: [AJD] Related Question

This may be off subject but it is associated. I recently purchased a Dial
Indicator to assist with the reassembly of the transmission of my 530.
Problem is that the darn gauge does not come with any instructions. I have
been searching the web but with few adequate results. Doess anyone know of a
web site that would have operating instructions for this precision (Chinese
made) gauge??

Thanks

Ken Jones
