Spencer,
 I think you would change your mind if you ever tried
a Jordan controller. The are flat out nice. Like the 
commercial says "Try it you'll like it"

It must be a difference in controllers.   The sensitivity control gets
me
any level of braking I want.  At most levels of sensitivity my
controller
is _faster_ than the vehicle's brakes (ie the trailer starts pulling the
truck for a quick second when I apply the brake).  It also lets up
_after_
the vehicle's brakes do.  As this implies, the delay is less and less as
you crank up braking power. 

I'd hate mine too if mine did what your does.
