A few questions about JD Cylinder Block compatibility:

Some background Data:

1.) Removing Cylinder Block from JD A Serial # 654037

2.) Friend Needs Cylinder Block for Early 60

3.) Parts catalog states Cylinder Block for A's Serial # (648000- ) is
AA5052R = A3703R or A4320R (Sub for AA4373R)

4.) Parts Catalog states Cylinder Block for all 60's is AA5052R = A4320R

5.) The above states that a 60 block can be used on a late A.

6.) But the Late A block isn't mentioned as useable on the 60's

Questions:

a.) Is there a difference in the blocks such that a Late A Block (A3703R)
cannot be used in a 60?
b.) If Yes, what are(is) the difference(s)?
c.) Does a specific head have to be used with each block?

Vely confusing!
