[Steam-engine] heating surface

You need to calculate the square footage from the top
of the grates to the last tube before the chimney.
Then you need to multiply the square feet by 5.  This
will tell you the minimum pounds of steam per hour. 
This is referenced out of the NBIC section on
historical boilers.  This is a minimum and should size
your releif valve slightly larger than this. 
Excessively large  capacity is not recommended by ASME
sec I.  This is because it causes priming.
