[AJD] Lead Additive

I've commented on this often. When I was running my fully "built" Ford 429 Super
CobraJet years ago, the no-lead fuel debate was raging full blown. I heard both sides
of no-lead in gas engines and finally decided it wasn't an immediate problem. To be
safe, I would add a bottle of lead additive as well as octane boost about every third
tank in the Torino Cobra. Since it was a 429 and I was young the 3rd tank came around
pretty darn often! Never had a single problem. Never did in my 429 Mustang either.
At our dealership, we have never found a single problem in any tractor, farm or lawn
& garden, resulting from no-lead fuel. In fact, we have more problems with today's
fuel and it's additives as it tends to eat or soften fuel lines, especially in weed
eaters.
Just my input
Greg
