	Some areas seem to have more oak than others and the
price goes up or down accordingly. We have lots of ash and
maple but oak is fairly scarce. About 20 years ago, I laid
down two 4" X 12" X 12' white oak planks for my crawler to
sit on. They sunk to flush with the ground years ago but are
still solid and have no rot. They were green local grown oak
and the mill operator said, "If you put anything on them at
all, use oil and nothing else."  The only oil they have ever
had on them dripped off the crawler.
