[AT] Northern Tool Sale - Left Hand drills

It is very easy to reverse a three phase motor by switching to change phases. But you can use a drum switch on a single phase motor. I have a couple of reversing single phase motors here on lathes ect. Any motor that is internally reversable can be reversed by using the proper drum switch.

Carl why would it not be possible to put a motor on a drill press that
would reverse. I have a wood shaper in my wood shop that had a 3/4 horse
motor that would reverse. It died operator err pushed to hard left all the
smoke out. Replaced with a 2 horse no reversing. Both of my drill presses
just have a plate where the motor mounts.
