Greetings from Douglas County Nevada (5000' at the eastern slope of the
Sierras)
The lo-boy is a 1959 IH with fast hitch. I rebuilt the engine and cleaned it
all up. It has front and rear wheel weights and runs like a sewing machine. I
bought a woods 42" mower that adapts via the fast hitch and use it for
mowing down one acre of wild flowers every November. I put a Zenith carb on it
which I have on all my cubs (great power).
Bob, I acquired the lo-boy in 1998 (my first tractor). Had to go to Butte to
get it! Karl has seen it.
I have one 1953 Cub with a front blade I use regularly here for plowing
snow. It is just amazing how much snow this machine can push with no chains
(level concrete and downhill). The '53 is restored and well painted and has
original everything including lights (all 3 with the special tail light!).
I love taking a cub down to the metal and redoing it. I learned a lot about
mechanics and how they work.
Thanks to everybody on this list.
